More Pictures from Kurtis's (Elder Smith's time) in the Manila MTC from December 16, 2022 through
I'm still very new at this and trying to preserve Kurt's (Elder Smith's) pictures from his mission.
This is my second post and I'm still adding pictures from his time in the Manila MTC.
(12-16-2022) This is one of the trikes we rode in this week, going out proselytising. Elder Aborio, who was already out in the field sat on the back of the dirt bike, and Elder Larsen and I crammed into the side car
There's a video here of the trike drive through a short part of Manila. (it is saved on our computer. I need to figure out how to post videos here. This is mostly for Kurtis)
* There's a neat statue here that is on my phone's google photos and was not saved onto our computer. (I will try to edit this and add if from my phone as a screenshot soon)
** There are some videos that Kurtis recorded with Sunbeam playing the piano. I need to check if those saved to our computer.
December 18, 2022 / This is world-renowned classical pianist and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sunbeam Chai. He played piano for us today, and it was gorgeous

And it included a whole roast pig too! Probably my favorite part of our dinner

Our Secret Santa Christmas tree, with our gift bags
We did a Secret Santa with just the Elders that stayed behind in this batch, this is what I got
***There are some videos of groups of Elders and Sisters singing saved to our computer. Kurtis is singing in at least one group! ( I love that they did this and shared their talents with each other)
Kurtis captioned the videos and said, "these are the videos I got from tonight's Christmas program. This is Sister Latu and Elder Ausage singing "Silent Night"
For when he sings he says, "this is me and Elder Monroe singing a song titled "Guard Him Joseph"
Then, he captioned the next one, "Elder Monroe asked me to get this one. He is playing for Elder Salemaea, Simon, and Taguam who are singing "Oh Holy Night"
Next, he says, "This is Elders Durant, Murdock and Salemaea singing, "Oh Come all Ye Faithful"
(Part of the reason I'm putting these on the blog is we could save the videos and photos to our computer, but we would lose these captions from Kurtis. I want him to be able to remember what he wrote about these pictures and videos. He's not allowed to use facebook. So, this is a way to preserve some of what he said)

the Jacob District who are all going to Hong Kong, learning Cantonese, singing "Mary's Lullaby
Kurtis, Elder Monroe, Elder Simon, and Elder Durant singing, "When Joseph went to Bethlehem"
This is the Amulek district, who are all Tongans, singing, " I Know that My Redeemer Lives"
This is Sister Chua on violin, Sister Agbayani, and Sister Bongat performing "Silent Night"
(so, what we have saved to our computer and the flash drive skips 6 pictures and 8 videos: one that Kurtis is singing in with a group. :(
**Jan 5, 2023 //There's a haircut video that we do have saved on the computer. Kurtis captions it like this: We all got haircuts on p-day, and this was a video of the barber. Definitely different than most hair places I've been to
He was huge! I didn't realise the snails here would be so big
*** It looks like some of the pictures (I'm not sure about some of the videos) are out of order, since he got them from other people. It will take me a little more time to sift through them. I will try to update this and get that done, so Kurtis can delete things we have saved. Then, he can have more space in his google photos and still keep the important pictures, videos and memories he recorded.
